The exhibition dedicated to the project “27 Castles + 2 Fortresses” by the IPA Terre di Asolo e Monte Grappa will be inaugurated on Sunday, September 1st.

This historical, touristic and landscape valorization itinerary follows ancient pedestrian and cycling routes through the municipalities of Cornuda, Maser, Asolo, Fonte, Castelcucco, Mussolente, Pieve del Grappa, San Zenone degli Ezzelini, Borso del Grappa. The route narrates the region’s history from the Middle Ages, unveiling the stories of 27 castles and 2 fortresses that once dominated these lands.

The Exhibition

The exhibition gathers documentation used in the creation of the project. The inauguration will take place on Sunday, September 1st, at 11:45 AM, with a conference held at the Mura della Bastia di Onigo archaeological site. The event will feature IPA Terre di Asolo e Monte Grappa president Annalisa Rampin and architects Bernardi and Potocnik, curators of the project. The conference, moderated by journalist Andrea Berton, will also include an intervention by writer Serena Perozzo, author of the historical novel Echi oltre le mura, set in the former Onigo Castle.

At 4:30 PM, a guided tour of the 27 Castles + 2 Fortresses exhibition will be conducted by architects Michele Potocnik and Fiorenzo Bernardi.

The exhibition is part of the first edition of the Medieval Historical Reenactment Corte degli Onigo – The Renaissance, held at the Mura della Bastia di Onigo, a fortified complex dating back to the 12th century, near the Pederobba Town Hall.

This event, strongly supported by the Municipality of Pederobba and sponsored by the Department of Culture and Tourism, will feature numerous activities promoting the history of the site and the medieval culture of the region. In addition to the 27 Castles + 2 Fortresses exhibition, the inauguration will also include the unveiling of an in-depth viewpoint panel on the Mura della Bastia site.
